Not sure if you are in the mood for a restful or active class? Seeking a practice that explores deep surrender and activates your dynamic spirit? Great! Yin Yang Yoga meets you in the middle for a balanced experience that integrates a restful floor based practice with dynamic standing poses. Yin Yoga is a great practice for students of all levels. Yang Yoga is a Vinyasa style practice with standing poses, so it would be helpful for students to be familiar with sun salutations. The ability to get on and off of the floor without too much difficulty is also recommended. If you have never done yoga before or are concerned about injuries, we recommend trying one of our beginner’s or All Bodies classes.

Jeff McMann M.A.

A student of Tarthang Tulku since the 1970’s, is a highly regarded poet and a devoted High School teacher. His love of both the English language and the possibilities for human growth inherent in explorations of meaning, led him early on to become first a student, and then a teacher of the Time, Space, and Knowledge vision. Jeff brings a sense of wonder and delight to his classes at the Institute, as he guides students through their own journey into mind and human consciousness.
